Still Here is now recruiting gay, bisexual and queer men living with HIV.
The Still Here project is a research project using photography and interviews to better understand the social context of queer, gay and bisexual men living with HIV and their experiences with suicide.
You can participate if:
- You are 19 years old or older,
- You had serious thoughts about killing yourself in the past since your HIV diagnosis
- You are a queer, gay and/or bisexual man
Your participation will help decrease stigma around suicide and shape future suicide prevention programs. You will receive for compensation a digital camera and $100 (or $200 if you have your own camera).
The study is being conducted by the Men’s Health Research program at the University of British Columbia in partnership with the Health Initiative for Men and the Pacific AIDS Network.
Special thanks to the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, Movember Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Research for funding the research.
